A RESCUE

A Rescue transforms the demolition-threatened Falckgården into a new urban anchor along Ringgaden. By reusing and densifying the existing buildings, the project creates a mixed neighbourhood for housing, work and community while preserving the site’s architectural and cultural identity.

TRANSFORMATION

The project preserves and enhances the site’s existing qualities and uses as much of the existing as possible.

EDGE ZONES

The project uses varied edge zones to activate the ground floor and create a diverse facade expression.

FACADES & MATERIALITY

Primarily biogenic materials are used for the new additions, while as much of the existing structure as possible is preserved.

PHASED DEVELOPMENT

The transformation is carried out in phases, allowing the buildings to remain in use throughout the process.
